DIVINATIO Journal |

The journal Divinatio is the successor to the Studia Culturologica Series published by the University of Sofia’s Department of Cultural Studies. Divinatio has been published since 1997 with the financial support of the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (Paris) and Stiftung Bulgarische Hochschulforderung (Frankfurt–Sofia). It is published in two issues a year: Spring/Summer (in French) edited by Ivaylo Znepolski, and Autumn/Winter (in German and English) edited by Dimitri Ginev. It has an international Editorial Board. |

Sofia DIALOGUES International Forum |

The Sofia Dialogues International Forum, launched in 1996, is held once a year. Its tenth anniversary edition was in 2005. The Forum is centred around a major figure in contemporary science and the relevant problems raised by his or her work. The Forum’s thematic policy is elaborated in close cooperation with EHESS (Paris). In organisational terms, the Forum is the product of trilateral Bulgarian-French-German academic cooperation, but researchers from other countries in Western Europe, the Balkans and North America are also invited to participate. |

Scholarship Program |

With the financial support of the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (Paris) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, since 2000 the MSHS has been awarding grants for postdoctoral research or for doctoral students in the final stage of writing doctoral dissertations. The grants amount to BGN 500 per month for six months. Their purpose is to support the academic progress of young scholars who want to work and build a career in Bulgaria, and to facilitate their integration into research teams. |

Workshop for Training of Young Scholars in Social Sciences |

This Workshop was launched in the 1992–1993 academic year under an agreement signed by the St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, EHESS (Paris), and the French Institute (Sofia). It is directed by a Scientific Board whose members are Ivaylo Znepolski, Gueorgui Fotev, Rose-Marie Lagrave and Heinz Wismann. The Workshop is held once a month and is devoted to one topic that unites the different seminars. The Workshop features prominent French scholars who are invited to discuss the relevant topics with Bulgarian scholars and an audience of students in the final stage of their studies. |
